Josef Janda

I'm a violist and music educator based in the Washington, DC area. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Music degree in Viola Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have been teaching private lessons for about 10 years, and I currently teach at the International School of Music in Bethesda, MD, and at the Levine School of Music in Washington, DC.

I am also a freelance musician and have performed with the National String Symphonia, the National Philharmonic, the McLean Orchestra, the Apollo Orchestra, and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. I have also performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.
